YPSILANTI, Mich. -

Ypsilanti police said a man who was a houseguest at a home on South Grove stole from a neighbor and also a nearby business.

Police said a home in the 20 block of South Grove was broken into and the victims found their stolen laptops, rifle and video game systems in a neighbor's house. Police said the neighbor told them the houseguest had brought the items in saying he had found them on the street. He then called the neighbor to ask for a ride because he had two flat screen TVs, police said. It turned out the TVs were stolen from a store and officers arrested the houseguest. He's being held in the Washtenaw County Jail, pending any charges.
