Woman robbed at gunpoint while loading groceries into car

Police say a woman was robbed at gunpoint in a Royal Oak Township store parking lot.

Just after 6 p.m. Tuesday, the 34-year-old woman was robbed outside of the Aldi’s grocery store on West 8 Mile Road.

The victim told police she was loading groceries into her car, when two men approached her from behind.

One of the suspects put a handgun into her mid-section and demanded her purse. 

The victim complied and then ran into the store while the two men ran across 8 Mile Road.

Both suspects are described as black males, approximately 20 to 25 years of age.

One man was last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and white tennis shoes.
