Woman reports being grabbed by man in stairwell at Wayne State University

DETROIT -

Wayne State University has issued a campus crime alert after a student reported an attempt assault by a man in a stairwell.

Police said the 25-year-old woman said she was walking up a stairwell at Old Main last Thursday night when a man grabbed her and pulled down her sweatpants.

The woman kicked the man, ran away and locked herself in a bathroom.

Police said the woman wasn’t hurt but reported the incident two days after it happened.

Police describe the man as black, in his 40s, 6 feet tall, had a goatee with gray hair, heavy build. He was wearing a black skull camp, red hoodie and blue denim pants.
