Waterford Township police are looking for a woman who is accused of dragging a gas station employee by her car as she tried to get away from him after a confrontation.

Police said the woman went into the Sunoco station at 5775 Dixie on Aug. 29 and tried to make purchases with a credit card.

The clerk noticed that the name on the credit card didn’t match the woman’s ID and made a note of it on a receipt, police said.

The woman then grabbed the receipt and took off.

Police said the clerk followed the woman out to the parking lot and struggled with her to get the receipt back, but he got caught and was dragged a few feet by the car as it drove away.

The 60-year-old clerk was treated and released from a hospital for some injuries.

The woman drove away in a blue car with the license plate CBS4554, police said.

Police have released pictures of the woman that were taken on the station’s surveillance cameras.

Anyone with information is asked to call Waterford police at 248-618-6053.
