PONTIAC, Mich. -

A Pontiac woman is accused of driving drunk and leading police on a chase before hitting a house.

An Oakland County Sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.  The driver briefly stopped before taking off.

The deputy began to pursue the vehicle and the driver eventually hit a house on the 100 block of N. Tasmania Street.

The deputy performed a breathalyzer test and 52-year-old Mamie Hankis registered a 0.275 blood alcohol limit, more than three times the legal limit.

She was taken to a nearby hospital for a blood draw before being taken to the Oakland County Jail.
