Wixom police looking for driver of sports car who fired shots out window

WIXOM, Mich. -

Wixom police are looking for the person who fired shots out a car window Tuesday evening – narrowly missing a man who was taking out his garbage and damaged a car.

Police said the shots were fired in the area of North Wixom and Loon Lake roads just after 7 p.m. from a dark colored sports car with an after-market blue tint headlight covers.

A man who was out front of his home told police he heard a shot go by his head.

Another victim told police his car was shot at as he drove passed the sports car on Wixom Road. The driver’s side front tire was damaged.

Police said there isn’t a description of the driver but the sports car may have been a newer model Ford Mustang.
