Whiteout conditions cause crashes across metro Detroit

METRO DETROIT -

Snowy weather caused slick roads and multiple accidents around metro Detroit Saturday afternoon.

Southbound I-75 at Eureka Road closed due to a multi-vehicle accident.

In Allen Park, Northbound Southfield Freeway near Oakwood shutdown following an accident involving an overturned semi-truck.

Michigan State Police tell Local 4 that I-96 going westbound near Wixom Road was closed following a deadly accident. Police say a vehicle crashed into a camera pole, killing the driver.

Police are asking everyone to drive with caution.
