WARREN, Mich. -

Warren police have released patrol car dash cam video of a suspect fleeing police and nearly running over an officer.

The video shows two officers during a traffic stop Sunday at 10 Mile and Dequindre involving a black Jeep. When an officer asks the driver for his license and registration, he speeds off.

The officer on the driver's side narrowly escaped being dragged along with the fleeing suspect.

A chase ensued and the suspect was stopped near Van Dyke Avenue and 10 Mile Road when police used a spike strip to stop the driver. A patrol car also rammed into the suspect's SUV.

The driver was arrested.

None of the officers were seriously hurt.
