DETROIT -

More than 400 volunteers from the Detroit area gather to build two new playgrounds at deserving locations Saturday.

The new playground designs are based on drawings created by children who participated in Design Days event in April.

The new playgrounds will  be at the Commonwealth Community Development Academy on Eureka Street and the Detroit Catholic Pastoral Alliance on Gratiot Avenue and will eventually serve thousands of children in the Detroit area.
