Vigil held for 8-year-old Detroit girl found stabbed to death

DETROIT -

A candlelight vigil was held Tuesday night to honor an 8-year-old Detroit girl who was found stabbed to death Sunday morning.

Police say Tameria Greene was found with a knife sticking out of her chest at her home in the Saint Aubin Square Apartments on the city's east side.

Her mother has been arrested but has not been charged.

Family, friends and neighbors all gathered outside the home Tuesday night to pray and mourn her loss.
