Veterans honored at L'Anse Creuse Middle School-East

More than 80 veterans were honored during the Veterans Day ceremony at L'Anse Creuse Middle School-East .


More than 700 students, staff, family, community members and service women and men, past and present were honored for Veterans Day at an annual L'Anse Creuse Middle School-East ceremony.

The Monday morning ceremony began with a breakfast at the school for veterans.

After breakfast a ceremony was held in the school's gymnasium where more than 80 veterans were honored for their service and sacrifice to the country.

Students read from prepared readings during the event as a tribute.

School officials say celebrating Veterans Day at L'Anse Creuse Middle School-East is a tradition that goes back several years in the community.
