VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

One family has been burned out of their home after a fire ripped through their apartment in Van Buren Township.

The fire broke out Monday night at the Parkwood Manor apartments near Tyler and Morton Taylor roads.

At first glance, it appeared firefighters had contained and doused the flames. However, there is heavy damage to the building.

No injuries have been reported.

The Red Cross was at the building to help the family.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
