Troy mayor critics push for recall

Troy Mayor Janice Daniels lost her elected seat when voters approved a recall on Nov. 6, 2012.

TROY, Mich. -

Critics of Troy Mayor Janice Daniels are one step closer to launching a recall effort.

Local 4 has learned the Oakland County Election Commission has approved language for a recall petition.

Daniels is under fire for comments she made about gays and for her opposition to a transit project in the city.

There is no scheduled date for when the petition drive will begin.
