Triumph Church is hosting a free event for kids who aren't going trick-or-treating.

Harvest Family Night is a safe alternative to Halloween.  The event will be held Halloween evening and is open to the public. Kids can participate in games, a video game bus and other activities.  There will also be free food, drinks and hundreds of pounds of candy.

Kids and parents can dress up for the event, but certain costumes are off limits.  Visitors are asked to avoid witch, ghost or other scary costumes.

Harvest Family Night runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Families can attend the event at either of the Triumph Church locations.  The east campus is located at 2760 E. Grand Blvd. in Detroit.  Families can also attend the festivities at the west campus, which is located at 45081 Geddes Road in Canton.
