Tigers lose to the Angels 4-3

LOS ANGELES, Calif -

The Angles beat the Tigers 4-3 in 13 innings to sweep the 3 games series.

Detroit relief pitcher Phil Coke gives up a walk-off home run to Mark Trumbo in the bottom of the 13th to end the game.

In the 12th, Coke (0-2) intentionally walked Pujols with two outs and the bases empty before striking out Josh Hamilton on three pitches. But in the next inning,Trumbo drove a 3-1 pitch into the top part of the double-decker bullpen in left field for his second homer of the season.

Jerome Williams (1-0) got the victory with three innings of two-hit relief.

Angels lefty C.J. Wilson allowed three runs and five hits in six innings, struck out four and walked four. He gave up a two-run homer to Prince Fielder that tied the score 3-all in the fifth after a leadoff walk to Torii Hunter.

Tigers hitters continue to struggle leaving the bases loaded 3 times during the game.
