Three women abducted, raped on Detroit's east side

Suspect has been arrested, women taken to hospital

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – Multiple sources confirm that around 2:30 a.m., four women were walking out of a nightclub near Hamtramck when a man forced three of the women into a mini-van.  The fourth woman was able to get away, and was able to inform other friends of the situation.  Sources tell Local 4 the suspect drove the three women to Detroit's east side where he raped all three of them.

Sources also say the gunman wanted money, and at one point, made one of the women go inside of a store to get cash out of the ATM.  The woman was able to convey to the clerk of the store that she and her friends were in danger.  The clerk was then able to contact police.

Sources confirm that the van was found on Harper Ave. on Detroit's east side a short time later.  The suspect was arrested on scene by police and is in custody right now.  In the meantime, the three women have been taken to a local hospital.
