An early morning accident left thousands of apples strewn across the highway in Salem Township early Thursday morning.

SALEM TWP., Mich. -

An early morning accident left thousands of apples strewn across the highway in Salem Township early Thursday morning.

A semi-truck driver lost control, spilling his load of apple boxes across M-14 near Gotfedson around 1 a.m.

The road was closed for several hours while crews worked to scoop up the boxes of apples and put them into a dumpster.

The truck driver was not hurt.
