Police say they received a call from a resident on Chestnut Drive who said a man was trying to break into a car in the neighborhood.

The caller told police that he had tried to stop the suspect but was assaulted by the man.

Police arrived and detained 22-year-old Willie Collins after the caller provided a detailed description of the suspect.
