Stormy, very warm Tuesday

DETROIT -

July starts roaring to an end Tuesday morning with thunderstorms and showers racing across Detroit and Southeast Michigan before sunrise.  Heavy downpours and lightning are likely with damaging winds and hail possible during the morning commute.  Temps will start near 70.  Stay updated with the latest storm tracking on Local 4 News Morning.

Tuesday afternoon will be very warm with some sunshine and the chance of showers and thunderstorms redeveloping.  Highs will be in the middle 80s.

Showers and storms will diminish Tuesday night into Wednesday morning with lows in the 60s.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny, warm and comfortable with highs near 85.  Thursday will be warmer and still bright with highs in the upper 80s.  Friday and the start of the weekend will have a chance of showers with highs in the middle and upper 80s.
