DETROIT -

"At least 30 cars were involved in a pileup along southbound I-75, just north of the Rouge River Bridge.

Both children and adults were involved in the accident.

Two patients are at DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan and five are being cared for at DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital, both of which are verified level 1 trauma centers.

Hospital staff are working to triage and identify patients and notify families.

This situation is continually unfolding and as such, no patient conditions are available at this time."
