DETROIT -

Detroit police are on the lookout for some thieves who smashed their way into a Foot Locker store Monday morning.

The store, which is on 7 Mile Road at Gratiot Avenue, is protected by a security gate at its doors. But police said someone rammed a vehicle through a side wall just after 4 a.m.

Police said Nike Air Jordan shoes and Nike LeBron James shoes – each worth more than $150 – were scooped up.

Coya Stokes works next door at a Coney Island restaurant. She said she and her coworkers could feel the impact of the vehicle hitting the store.

It’s not immediately clear if the robbery was caught on store security cameras.
