Shots fired between police, gunman in Harper Woods; no injuries

HARPER WOODS, Mich. – Shots were fired between police and a gunman Friday afternoon on Lancaster Street near Interstate 94 in Harper Woods.

No officers were injured.

The gunman was barricaded inside a home on the street. He surrendered without anyone getting injured.

A spokeswoman at nearby Mason Elementary, in Grosse Pointe Woods, said the school was temporarily on lockdown. The lockdown has been lifted.
