DETROIT -

There was graphic and shocking testimony Monday at the preliminary examination hearing for Roger Bowling, the suspect in a double murder and mutilation case.

Bowling is charged with murdering 42-year-old Chris Hall and 32-year-old Danielle Greenway in their Allen Park home last month.

He is also charged with dismembering the bodies and throwing those body parts into the Detroit River on Detroit's east side.

Sgt. Dean Rademaker, of the Detroit police dive team, was called to the scene when the first report of body parts in the river was made.

On the witness stand Monday, Sgt. Rademaker described what he could see from the breakwall.

"We observed legs, hands, what appeared to be a sheet, what appeared to be a human head and there also was a couple of items in bags we observed," Rademaker said.

Relatives of the victims said Bowling was a house guest at the Allen Park home. They said Bowling might have been motivated by jealousy.

Bowling is charged with murder, mutilation of a body, tampering with evidence and a firearms violation.

Testimony in the preliminary examination hearing resumes Tuesday.
