David Leslie Lamberson faces charges for drunk driving crash that killed 2 children.

DETROIT -

David Leslie Lamberson, the man accused of driving while drunk and causing a crash that killed two children in Detroit had his preliminary exam on Wednesday.

Lamberson, 62, of Shelby Township is charged with second-degree murder, operating under the influence of alcohol causing death, and reckless driving.

Lavale Harvey age 2 and his 8-year-old sister Alana Lee were riding in a car with their mother when the crash happened near Seven Mile Road and Hoover Road on Jan. 8th.

Witnesses said Lamberson crossed onto the wrong side of Hoover and hit the family’s vehicle head-on.

Neighbors helped pull the victims from the car but only the mother survived the accident.
