The Ford Rouge Complex was dark Thursday night as crews worked to investigate a power outage.

A cold air pipe exploded early Friday morning at the Severstal Dearborn steel plant.

In a news release, the plant says the explosion may or may not be related to Thursday night's power outage at the entire Rouge Complex.

No one was injured. Everyone at the plant was evacuated. The cold air pipe is connected to the blast furnace stoves.

The Rouge Complex lost power Thursday night due to an accident at its power provider, DTE Energy. The power outage caused a steel pill and a small fire which was quickly put out, according to Severstal.

Crews at the plant have been working to restore the cold air pipe.
