Roseville -

A 47-year-old Roseville man is undergoing treatment after being struck in the head with a gun during an altercation at a local Roseville bar.

The altercation between the two men happened around 10 a.m. Saturday morning inside the Eastgate Pub on Gratiot in Roseville.

Initially, Roseville police were under the impression the victim was hit by gun fire but the later investigation proved the victim was struck by the weapon.

Now the suspect, a 48-year-old Clinton Twp. man, who is also the owner of Eastgate Pub, is in police custody.

The two men have been feuding over an Eastgate Pub barmaid who is also the victim's ex-girlfriend according to police.

The victim told police he was lured to the bar Sunday morning when the altercation took place.

Witnesses inside the bar say the victim was armed as well when he entered the bar but allegedly placed his weapon on the ground to have a peaceful talk with the bar owner.

The owner of the bar was in custody late Saturday with no bond.

No charges had yet been filed.
