Rochester celebrates Halloween with candy, spaghetti

More than 50 businesses will hand out candy on Oct 20.

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Rochester is celebrating Halloween with trick-or-treating and spaghetti.

Downtown Rochester will be filled with ghouls and candy on October 20 for Trick-or-Treat Downtown, a costume party and a spaghetti dinner.

More than 50 businesses will hand out candy to trick-or-treaters from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Kids can stop by participating businesses, which will be marked with balloons.

A costume parade will be held at 5:15 p.m. The parade will features kids in costumes and a police car and fire truck. Kids can join the parade at the public parking lot at the corner of Water Street and University. The parade will then head south on Water Street and ends at the Rochester Fire Department.

The night will also include a spaghetti dinner and open house at the Rochester Fire Department. The dinner will benefit Rochester Area Youth Assistance. It runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door.  The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under.
