Red Wings net 8 goals in rout over the Canucks

DETROIT -

Damien Brunner had two goals and two assists as the Red Wings routed the Vancouver Canucks 8-3 on Sunday.

Rookie Joakim Andersson netted two goals, while Henrik Zetterberg and Nicklas Kronwall each had a goal and two assists.

The Wings were trailing 3-2 until the power play came alive with three goals, all in the second period.

Jimmy Howard made 18 saves in the Wings’ second win in as many days.

Daniel Sedin and Chris Higgins scored for Vancouver.
