Police investigating triple shooting in Inkster

INKSTER, Mich. -

Police are investigating a triple shooting that happened overnight in Inkster.

Police received a call around midnight about two people who were shot on John Daly Street in Inkster.  About a minute later, there was a second call that another person was shot on Kitch Street, police said.

The three victims were together in a vehicle when a man wearing all black shot up the car with an assault rifle. The shooter took off running.

The victims were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover.
