Police: Recovered bullets show Michigan roadway shootings are connected

Ballistic evidence recovered in Oakland, Livingston, Ingham counties link roadway shootings

INGHAM COUNTY, Mich. – Laboratory testing continues to take place on ballistic evidence that has been recovered from the recent shootings in Oakland, Livingston, Ingham, and Shiawassee counties.

Both the Michigan State Police Forensic Laboratory and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Forensic Laboratory expedited the analysis of this evidence to assist in law enforcement efforts.

Watch: Reward offered in roadway shootings

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office Forensic Laboratory has determined that ballistic evidence recovered from shootings in Oakland, Livingston, and Ingham County have come from the same firearm.

A task force investigating the shootings has received more than 400 tips.

Authorities are working to follow up on those.

Anyone with possible information on the shootings is asked to call 800-SPEAK-UP.
