Pittsfield Township police have released a surveillance picture of a man they said stole cigarettes from a store early Monday morning.

Police said the alarm for the store, which is in the 4000 block of Washtenaw Avenue, went off just after 1:30 a.m.

Officers who showed up at the scene discovered the break-in and the missing cigarettes.

A K-9 was brought in to search for the thief, but nothing turned up.

Anyone who has information on the break-in or the man in the surveillance picture is asked to call Pittsfield Township police at 734-822-4911 or the department's tip line at 734-822-4958.
