ROMULUS, Mich. -

The all-clear has been given at the North Terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after a bomb squad responded early Monday morning to a suspicious item at a security checkpoint.

Airport spokesman Mike Conway said the check-in lobby at the North Terminal in Romulus was shut down about 6:15 a.m. Conway said the item was in an X-ray machine at a security checkpoint.
