DETROIT -

No one was hurt Wednesday morning when gunfire rang out during a confrontation between police and a suspect on Detroit’s east side.

Police said officers were investigating the suspect when he ran into a house on Woodhall Street and then started crawling out a back window.

Police said the suspect pointed a gun at officers and one of the officer’s fired – but no one was hit.

The suspect was taken into custody.

Police didn’t immediately elaborate on why they were investigating the suspect.
