DEARBORN, Mich. -

A Detroit suburb is celebrating construction of a $28 million train station that will provide easy access to Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.

Many dignitaries are expected in Dearborn on Tuesday, including the chairman of Amtrak, lawmakers and the head of the Federal Railroad Administration. The event is closed to the public. When finished in 2013, the train station will replace a station near the Dearborn police department.

Dearborn is a stop for Amtrak trains traveling to and from Chicago. The new station is being built with federal tax dollars.
