Detroit police said a 4-month-old baby girl is safe and she was taken by force by her father Wednesday night.

Police said 19-year-old Jeremy Phillips went into a home in the 11000 block of Lakeview with at least three other men and made threats at gunpoint that he was going to take his daughter, A'mia Phillips.

Witnesses who were inside the home at the time told Local 4 Phillips started shooting, grabbed the baby and ran out.

One man inside the home was hit by the gunfire and is recovering in the hospital.

An Amber Alert was issued for the baby girl. She was found eight hours later in a Pittsfield Township apartment. Phillips and three other people were arrested.
