Milford road shut down for hours after a fatal crash early Saturday morning

Milford, Mich. -

The Milford Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened early Saturday morning at approximately 5:39 a.m.

 The two vehicles involved in the crash were said to hit head on as they were driving in opposite directions on Milford road, South of General Motors road.

A 38-year-old female Milford resident was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 17-year-old female of White Lake Township was transported to Botsford Hospital with non-life threatening  injuries.


Milford Road was closed for several hours as the investigation proceeded. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

The fog and alcohol are suspected to have been factors in the crash.


The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with the Milford police to continue to determine the exact cause of the accident. There were no other cars involved and no other injuries.


More information will be released after an autopsy is completed.
