Michigan State Police: body found in Ash Township ditch

Police say a driver first found the body and called 911.


The Michigan State Police confirm a body of what appears to be a black woman was found Monday in a ditch on Newburgh Road near Annabell Road in Ash Township.

Police say a driver first found the body and called 911.

The woman's age is not yet known. Police are investigating the woman's death.

Police believe the woman's body was dumped in the ditch.

The area just east of Flat Rock is rural. The body was found along a dirt road.
