A massive fire early Monday has destroyed a flea market building in Detroit.

The fire near Livernois and Michigan Avenue broke out at about 2 a.m. and burned for more than five hours.

Area roads were blocked off as flames illuminated the sky, but no injuries were reported.

Nearby businesses, including a day care, suffered smoke damage.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
