Man charged with killing uncle in Detroit home
Detroit police say a 28-year-old man stands accused of killing his uncle.
Police said Mark Williams got into an argument on Oct. 20 with his uncle, 46-year-old Robert Williams, at a home on Sparta. Williams then allegedly fired shots into the home, fatally striking his uncle.
Mark Williams was arrested later that same day. He's charged with first-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm and felony firearms. He was denied a bail.
“This was a senseless case of violence,” said Detroit Interim Police Chief Chester L. Logan. “This family has lost two loved ones within a 4-hour period. We are urging family members and friends who are having disagreements, to find peaceful ways to handle their disputes.”
