Man accused of week-long crime spree in Metro Detroit could go to jail for years

WARREN, Mich. -

A Detroit man is under arrested for a week-long crime spree that police said covered at least 6 different cities.

Prosecutors said 37-year-old Tore Price began the crime spree last month at a CVS store in Warren at 9 Mile and John R. roads.

Price is accused of robbing the store at gunpoint telling the clerk behind the register she would die if she didn't give him money.

Over the next six days police said he robbed a CVS in Garden City, a 7-Eleven in Warren, a Rite Aid store in Roseville, a Starbucks at Wayne State University and a butcher shop in Detroit.

Police said price committed the robberies to support his drug habit.

Price is behind bars under a one-million dollar bond. His preliminary examination is scheduled for February 14th in a Warren courtroom. Federal prosecutors are expected to provide help building the case against Price.
