MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. -

Madison Heights police are working to track down a group of men who used baseball bats to beat two victims in a car wash stall.

Police said an off duty officer who was driving by the Super Six Car Wash on John R Road Friday night noticed the assault as it was happening and pulled in.

The attackers fled in a nearby car but the officer was able to get a license plate number.

One person has been arrested, but police said they are looking for more people who may have been involved.

The two victims, both 35-year-old men from Rochester Hills, were taken to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
