Kerry Bentivolio was a relatively unknown name before Thaddeus McCotter's implosion.

Kerry Bentivolio was the only name on the primary ballot Tuesday for Michigan's 11th Congressional District.

He won the District seat despite an aggressive campaign from write-in candidate Nancy Cassis.

Bentivolio had kept a low media profile since since Thaddeus McCotter's implosion. McCotter was expected to keep the position but was unable to get enough valid signatures to be on the ballot.
