DETROIT, Mich. – The city of Detroit will continue on with business as usual after a judge threw out a city lawsuit challenging the state's consent agreement with Detroit.

Detroit city council is expected to now move forward by making it's two appointments to the new, nine member financial review team.

Those choices will be made Thursday morning at an 11 a.m. meeting. That team will start work on mending the city's dire finances right away.

However, with the city infighting and not solving it's money problems, a ratings agency has downgraded Detroit's credit rating saying now more than ever there is the risk of the city defaulting on what it owes.
