Jogger attacked, robbed in Ypsilanti Township

A man was attacked in Ypsilanti Township last Friday as he was running near Grove Road and Georgina.

YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

A man jogging Friday in Ypsilanti Township was attacked and robbed by four men, the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office said.

The victim was in the area of Grove Street and Georgina Drive at about 2 p.m. when he was confronted by four men on a sidewalk.

He was knocked down, punched and kicked while one of the men rifled through his pockets, the sheriff’s office said.

The men then got away in a black Ford Taurus with tinted windows.

The following are the only descriptions released:

-Black man, early 20s, braids shoulder length, wearing a black Carhartt coat

-Black man, early 20s, braids shoulder length, wearing a black Carhartt coat

-Black man, mid 20s to early 30s, bald head, wearing a black Carhartt coat

-Black man, between 18-25, wearing a yellow sweater
