The man charged with murdering Grosse Pointe Park mother Jane Bashara won't be returning to court Monday for his preliminary hearing.

Joe Gentz’s attorney, Susan Reed, was granted an adjournment. A new hearing date wasn't immediately set.

Gentz is facing a first-degree murder charge.

Meanwhile, Jane’s husband, Bob, is charged with plotting to have Gentz killed.

Police investigators and prosecutors say Bashara tried to hire a hitman to kill Gentz in jail.
