Tuesday morning, Jane Bashara’s mother, Lorraine Englebrecht went to the Bashara home and found the locks had been changed and she could no longer get in. According to Englebrecht, Bob Bashara’s cousin Stephanie Samuel-Lucas has taken over control of the house.
"She won’t let us in and the police can’t do anything about it," said Englebrecht.
Sameul-Lucas has power of attorney, and according to Jane Bashara’s mother has begun moving everything out of the house. "Those things belong to the children. I’m not going to let her take everything that Jane worked so hard for."
Grosse Point Park police came to the home Tuesday morning, but left without getting involved. Lorraine Englebrecht said all she can do for now is contact the family’s attorney.
You can hear from Lorraine Englebrecht tonight on Local 4 News at 6.
