Huntington Bank To Open Branches In Detroit

DETROIT -

Huntington Bank announced Wednesday that it will be opening branches in Detroit.

The bank made the announcement at Compuware Headquarters where one of the Detroit branches will open later this month.

Another branch will open this year at the Glory Supermarket on Outer Drive near the Southield Freeway.

Michael Fezzey, president of East Michigan Region Huntington National Bank, is excited for the bank's future in Detroit.

"Everybody is feeling something in Detroit these days," said Fezzey. "Energy, positive energy in Detroit, and we are so excited to be a part of that. For the first time in a very long time you can feel the momentum. You can actually fell it by just looking around."

Huntington also will open a branch in Pontiac before the end of the year.
