Highland Park Mayor DeAndre Windom says he will hold a press conference Monday morning to discuss an emergency decision to temporarily discontinue operations at the city’s water treatment plant. Windom will also inform citizens of the city’s immediate solution to continue to provide quality and reliable water services to residential and commercial customers, as well as announce the establishment of a Highland Park Water Advisory Council that will be charged with analyzing the city’s water treatment operation and provide recommendations for long-term solutions.

The press conference will be at City Hall, which is at 12050 Woodward Avenue.

Highland Park's school district is operating under an emergency financial manager.
