Harper Woods murder suspect arrested, charged

Man found shot and killed in his own home


A 43-year-old Detroit man has been charged in connection with the murder of his stepfather on Feb. 13.

60-year-old Johnny Lee Buckner was found dead by his grandson just before midnight in the 18700 block of Old Homestead. Buckner had lived in the home with his grandson.

Buckner's stepson, Andrew Keith, is charged with open murder, larceny over $1000 to $20,000, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm

No other information about Keith's arrest or details of the case are being released.

Friends said Buckner's wife passed away a couple of years ago from an accident on her job.
