Gunman arrested after firing shots in Walled Lake neighborhood

WALLED LAKE, Mich. -

A barricaded gunman in Walled Lake was arrested after firing shots at a police helicopter Thursday morning.

The 42-year-old gunman was barricaded in a home on Winwood Circle, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Department.  The home is in the area of Pontiac Trial near Maple Road. Residents in the area were forced to evacuate. The suspect's mother was inside the home at the time of the incident.

Police said the man fired several shots out the back door of the home. Several guns were found inside the house.

Nobody was hurt.
